Are De Winter boots made in England?

By July 2, 2020No Comments

Every aspect of our De Winter boots’ production takes place at one of England’s oldest shoemakers, Sanders & Sanders. This factory has been making boots using the same traditional goodyear welted construction method since 1873. And today those same handcrafted skills are used at each stage of the production of our boots.

Availability:

De Winter boots are not available from third party outlets but only from either our high street store in Sussex or from the DeWinterboots.com or the BradshawandLloyd.com websites. This way we are able to offer our boots at very affordable prices.

Sizing:

One of the main issues with buying footwear online is ensuring a correct fit. Unlike every other bootmaker in England we make all our boots on a single last shape. This Hurst last was 2 years in its development and we are very proud of its shape and fit. We like to think that it’s the perfect ankle boot shape. If you have been happy with the fit of any one of our boots you can be confident that any other De Winter boot style will fit you just as well.
