PAYMENTS & SECURITY
Should you select payment via Paypal you will be transferred to PayPal’s secure website where your payment will be processed, you will then be directed back to the De Winter site where you will see confirmation details of your successful transaction.
When you select to pay by card you will be transferred to the secure section of our website where your payment will be processed using SagePay as our integrated payment provider.
Your browser will make a connection to the secure payments section of SagePay or PayPal. A padlock will appear to indicate that a secure connection has been made. Depending on your browser a window may pop-up to confirm that you are entering this safe area.
If you see an unbroken key or a closed padlock then, depending upon your browser, SSL is active. You can also double check by looking at the URL line of your browser – whilst accessing a secure server the prefix of the address will change from HTTP to HTTPS.
Verified by Visa & Mastercard SecureCode
SagePay will immediately contact your bank/card issuer for authorisation to take payment from your account.
To enhance the security of online transactions Visa and Mastercard have introduced 3D-Secure. On entering your card details you may be asked by your card issuer for further authentication.
If the payment is authorised, you will receive an e-mail within a few minutes confirming your order.
The De Winter website and payment gateway uses 128bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption. This secures data transmission between the web server and your web browser. This is the highest level of encryption commercially available.
To comply with PCI DSS Compliance we do not store your credit/card payment information.
