Once you have purchased your beautifully made De Winter boots, you will naturally want to maintain them properly.
The boots are fully leather lined and the lining should be allowed to dry out between outings. Therefore try to rotate your footwear so as to allow the boots the opportunity to dry out. Leather soles will also benefit from drying properly between outings.
Boot trees are not essential however wooden shoe trees made of an absorbent material such as cedar wood should be inserted into the boots after each outing to absorb perspiration from the lining of the boots. This will prevent the leather from cracking and help reduce creasing of the upper.
